Willy's Party

He had a great time. His family and friends as well as my family was there.

Another Update

We just got home from the ER. Willy is dehydrated! Please continue to pray for him and our family!
I will get some pics from the party and post them later today.

Some new updates...

Willy is continuing his battle with cancer! He just turned 46 on Wednesday. We are having a birthday party for him tomorrow.

He had a MRI done on January 23rd and a CT Scan done on February 5th.

On February 11th we got the results to the CT Scan. The cancer is the same! It did not progress but it didn't get any better. Now Willy has only had 1/2 the chemo treatments that he should have because his blood levels are low 1/2 of the time. To me, I am taking it as a good sign since he has only had half his treatments.

On February 19th, we got the results of the MRI. They said they can not put the stint in his liver to get rid of the yellow because the bile duct is not obstructed by a tumor. He told us we could go for a second opinion at Hershey Medicial Center if we wanted but in his opinion they will tell us the same thing.

A few updates

First off thank you all for your prayers and support. We really appreciate it.

Willy had chemo today! He is having pretty bad stomach and back pain, he just took his meds. His leg is still swollen and his cancer dr said it is because of the bloodclots.

We got a van yesterday. It is a 1998 Dodge Caravan. It has high milage but it looks great and runs even better. It came from my dad's former boss. (Pics to follow)

We sold Willy's car today.

Willy goes for a CT Scan on Feb 5th so we will know more then if the chemo is helping any.

I want to send a special thanks to TPlank and rrroae & his wife. We greatly appreciate what you have done for our family.

So...

Yesterday Willy went in for bloodwork to make sure his blood counts were ok for the chemo today. We go to the Hospital today and they tell us that Willy can not have chemo because his counts were too low. They gave him a Procrit shot to try to help raise his counts. If all goes well and his blood counts go back up, he will get chemo again on Dec 17th.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you, who have sent prayers, cards or contributions. It really means alot to Willy and I. We really appreciate it. We never knew that complete stangers could care so much about people that they never met.

Went to the Doctor...

Willy went to the doctors today because he felt horrible this afternoon after taking his blood pressure medications. His blood pressure was 80 over 40! He no longer needs to take his blood pressure meds. So he is now down to 12 meds a day. He also found out the he had bronchitis. So he has to take antibiotics for a few days to get rid of that.

He goes tomorrow for bloodwork to make sure everything is ok for Chemo on Wednesday.

2nd dose of chemo

Willy had his second dose of chemo Wednesday. He also had to have a shot because he is anemic. He got extremely sick from this dose of chemo. He gets another dose of chemo this coming Wednesday and then he doesnt have another one for 2 weeks.

I will post another update after his chemo on Wednesday.
